Annie Leibovitz is an American photographer who started her career as staff photographer for The Rolling Stones which has just launched. She 1973 she became the chief photographer. This picture above of John Lennon and Yoko Ono was one of her favorite pictures she took for the magazine and promised Lennon that he would make the cover.

Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer’s Life, 1990–2005 includes more than 200 photographs, encompassing well-known work made on editorial assignment as well as images of her family and close friends. “I don’t have two lives,” Leibovitz says. “This is one life, and the personal pictures and the assignment work are all part of it.”
