By pressing "Command and M" you are given the curve template seen in the pictures above were you can control the darkness and brightness of the photo. By adjusting the darkness and lightness you are creating a sharper image with better contrast. The first photo is the before shot before any changes were made and the bottom photo is after the lightness and darkness have been adjusted.
