Image Sensors - Kenz

An image sensor is the part of the camera that converts an optical image into an electrical signal through either a charge-coupled device (CCD) or am complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS). Both accomplish the same goal of capturing the light and turning it into an electrical signal but the CCD is an analog device that converts the charges one pixel at a time. The CMOS is an active pixel sensor using the CMOS semiconductor process.
